Sharon Malone is a consultant and coach with 25+ years of Human Resources leadership experience. Presently, she is engaged in enterprise-wide talent initiatives for our clients.  Sharon has a special emphasis on executive assessment and coaching. Her focus is on supporting clients as they explore topics and styles key to success in their current roles. Sharon also provides thoughtful support to leaders taking on new opportunities of increasing scope and addressing the challenges that may go along with growth and navigating new landscapes. She partners with leaders as they create fully satisfying work-life experiences.

Sharon’s broad human resources leadership experience helps inform her coaching.  She previously served as vice president of Talent Management for ING Americas and prior to that as vice president of Leadership Development for Cigna HealthCare, both Fortune 100 companies. Sharon personally provided executive coaching and career counseling to the top 200 leaders. She also re-engineered and revitalized succession planning.  Sharon has been accountable for executive search, executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, employee survey, organizational design and talent acquisition. Sharon moved to consulting in 2009 and for many years served as president of BeamPines, Inc., a national talent consultancy based in Manhattan. As the sole US-affiliate of The Global Coaching Partnership, and via her corporate work, Sharon developed extensive international experience. She recognizes and values the unique cultural dynamics of an environment. She has partnered with executives to enhance collaboration and results in Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, and in South America.

As an HR business partner, Sharon has teamed with senior leaders to create positive people climates while driving toward top business outcomes.  Her expertise includes aligning high performing leadership teams, strategic support to start-ups, acquisitions and post M&A integrations, guiding culture initiatives, staffing strategies to secure best-in-class talent, pay and reward differentiation, people metrics dashboards, and championing diversity and inclusion. While at Cigna, Sharon received The President’s Award for outsourcing clinical recruiting, saving several million dollars annually. Sharon has also designed an array of traditional, blended and asynchronous leadership programs and is a sought-after presenter of tailored, live or virtual leadership seminars.

In the community, Sharon is a past director and board chair for Corporation for Independent Living, a not-for-profit real estate development firm. She previously served as president of The Repertory Theatre of New Britain, Inc. and on the board of The Muscular Dystrophy Association of CT. Sharon was a recipient of United Cerebral Palsy of CT’s Humanitarian Service Award in recognition of her special fundraising efforts.

Sharon holds a M.S. in Organization & Management from Central Connecticut State University. She also completed her B.A. at CCSU in Organizational Communication, where she has also served as an adjunct professor.  Sharon is also a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute, and a Six Sigma Executive Green Belt. She is a member of The International Coaching Federation and SHRM. Sharon is certified in numerous developmental programs, instruments and tools. She and her husband reside in Farmington, Connecticut.
