Sharon Malone is a consultant and coach with 25+ years of Human Resources leadership experience. Presently, she is engaged in enterprise wide talent management initiatives for our clients, including succession & talent planning, executive search, and c-suite and high potential executive assessment and coaching.
Sharon has led client engagements on such varied topics as succession planning, high potential mentoring, leadership interviewing, managing change and executive communication. She has consulted on organizational design, including processes for downsizing and rightsizing, teambuilding, leadership development, and creating a positive workplace culture. Her multiple retained search engagements have including CEO, COO, CFO, CPAO and CHRO. She brings talent assessment and coaching expertise to her search work to assure a great fit and longer-term success. Sharon is presently coaching a variety of senior executives. Her focus is on supporting clients as they explore topics key to their continuous career growth, take on new challenges and responsibilities, and create fully satisfying work life experiences.

Sharon previously served as vice president of Talent Management for ING across the Americas and prior to that as vice president of Leadership Development for Cigna HealthCare, both Fortune 100 companies. Working with senior leadership, Sharon re-engineered and revitalized succession planning and personally provided executive coaching and career counseling to the top 200 leaders. Within these corporations, Sharon has been accountable for executive search, executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, employee survey, organizational design and talent acquisition. Through her corporate experiences and as a past affiliate with The Global Coaching Partnership, Sharon has extensive international experience and understands the unique cultural dynamics of an environment. She has partnered with executives to enhance results in Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, and in South America.
Also an HR business partner, Sharon has teamed with senior leaders to create positive people climates while driving toward top business results. Her expertise includes designing and aligning top performing leadership teams, strategic support to start-ups, acquisitions and post M&A integrations, large scale change and culture initiatives, staffing strategies to secure best-in-class talent, downsizing, pay-for-performance and reward differentiation, dashboards for tracking people metrics, and improving diversity at all levels. While at Cigna, Sharon received The President’s Award for outsourcing clinical recruiting, improving hiring outcomes while saving several million dollars annually. With roots in learning and development, Sharon has designed and delivered an array of leadership programs for improved performance.
In the community, Sharon serves as board chair for Corporation for Independent Living, a Connecticut-based not-for-profit real estate development firm. She previously served as president of The Repertory Theatre of New Britain, Inc. and on the board of The Muscular Dystrophy Association of CT. Sharon was a recipient of United Cerebral Palsy of CT’s Humanitarian Service Award in recognition of her special fundraising efforts.
Sharon holds a M.S. in Organization & Management from Central Connecticut State University. She also completed her B.A. at CCSU in Organizational Communication. She has served as an adjunct professor at CCSU. Sharon is also a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute, and a Six Sigma Executive Green Belt. She is a member of The International Coaching Federation and SHRM. Sharon is certified in numerous developmental programs, instruments and tools. She and her husband reside in Farmington, Connecticut.
