The Malone group’s learning solutions are designed according to a simple and straightforward adult learning approach. We begin with the introduction of the concept to be learned. Then we provide a model or a number of model for how the concept might be brought to life, or has been brought to life. In the next learning step we practice use of the model or models in scenario-based situations and analyze practice experiences in rich discussions. Finally, we ask learns to identify specific ways they plan to apply the skill back in their own environments. Our designs don’t stop there. We plan follow-up steps to find out what happened back on the job and what other steps could be taken to assure use of the skill helps the learner to achieve greater competence and enhances the organization’s performance.
